What I do

  • 01
    Website design
Custom, distinctive interfaces — never a recolored template.
  • 02
    Front-end development
Hand-built, fast, and pixel-clean on every screen.
  • 03
    Conversion & UX
Layouts that guide visitors to one clear next step.
  • 04
    Brand & identity
A look that feels unmistakably yours.
  • 05
    SEO foundations
Speed, structure, and semantics baked in from day one.

I've spent the years since 2015 learning that a great site is never just how it looks. It's how fast it loads, how effortlessly it reads on a phone, and how naturally it guides someone from “just looking” to “let's talk.” That's the craft I care about.

I work at Salterra, our family-run design and SEO company. Because I handle both the design and the build myself — and understand search — the foundations are baked in from the first line of code, not bolted on later. One person owns the whole picture.

No hype, no templates phoned in, no promises I can't keep — just careful, honest work. If it needs to look sharp, load fast, and convert, that's the work I love.

How a site comes together.

06 steps

A great website isn't one thing — it's a process. Here's how I take a project from a blank page to a fast, beautiful site built to convert — with the search foundations handled along the way.

01

Discovery & Strategy

Understanding your business, audience, and goals — so the site is built around what actually moves the needle for you.

02

Design & UX

A distinctive, on-brand interface designed to feel effortless — clear hierarchy, thoughtful details, and a path to conversion.

03

Development & Build

Hand-built, fast, and responsive. Clean code that looks flawless on every screen and loads in an instant.

04

SEO Foundations

Semantic structure, speed, and search fundamentals engineered in from the start — so you're set up to be found.

05

Content & Conversion

Copy and layout tuned to guide real visitors from first impression to inquiry.

06

Launch & Care

A smooth launch, plus the ongoing tuning and support to keep the site fast, current, and performing.

(The family business)

Built on a
family name.

Salterra is run by my parents, Terry and Elisabeth Samuels. It's not a faceless agency — it's a family that's been helping businesses grow online for years, and teaching others to do the same.

When you hire me, that's the standard behind the work.

(FAQ)

No fluff.
Just answers.

Everything people tend to ask before we start. Still wondering something? Just ask →

01What kind of businesses do you work with?+
Small businesses, local service companies, personal brands, and content sites — really, anyone who needs a website that looks great and works hard. If you want a site that stands out and actually pulls its weight, that's squarely the kind of work I do.
02What's your design process like?+
It starts with understanding your business, audience, and goals — then design, then a hand-built front-end. You'll see the direction early and give feedback at each stage, so there's no big reveal at the end that you're stuck with. Collaborative, not a black box.
03How long does a website take?+
Most builds run from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, depending on the size of the site and how quickly we lock the content and direction. I'd rather set a realistic timeline and hit it than promise something fast that I can't deliver well.
04Do you handle SEO too, or just design?+
Both — and that's the advantage. Because I design and build the site myself and understand search, the SEO foundations (speed, clean structure, semantic markup) are baked in from the first line of code instead of bolted on afterward. What I won't do is promise rankings — nobody controls Google. I build you the strongest possible foundation to earn them.
05What makes a website actually good?+
It loads fast, reads effortlessly on a phone, guides visitors toward one clear action, and looks like it belongs to you — not a template someone recolored. Design that's genuinely beautiful and genuinely useful. Almost everything else follows from getting that right.
06What is Salterra, and how do you fit in?+
Salterra is our family-run design and SEO company, run by my parents, Terry and Elisabeth Samuels. I handle the website and design side. We also teach what we do — through SEO University and Salterra University — and host an annual conference, SEO Spring Training.
07How do we get started?+
The simplest way is to reach out and tell me what you're trying to build and where things stand today. I'll take a look, give you an honest read on what it would take, and we go from there. No pressure, no jargon — just a straight conversation about what you want.
